“I am pleased to welcome six new members and two returning members to the RDAMNC Board,” said Kieren Dell, Chair of RDAMNC.

“The new Board provides RDAMNC with representation from across the geographical footprint that we cover and with deep experience across many different organisations, industries, and government. I look forward to working together to help grow a resilient and vibrant region.”

New Board Members are Professor Heather Cavanagh, Mike Crowhurst, David Harvey, Dr Caroline Hong, John Newell, and John Roydhouse.

Existing members that will continue are Richard O’Leary and Tracy Singleton.

Regional Development Australia (RDA) is a national network of Boards made up of local leaders who work with all levels of government, business, and community groups to support the economic development of their regions. RDA Boards have an active and facilitative role in their communities with a clear focus on growing strong and confident regional economies that harness their competitive advantages, seize on economic opportunity, and attract investment.

“Our region has some exciting opportunities and challenges to address this year, some of which have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Kerry Grace, CEO of RDAMNC.

“RDAMNC’s focus this year will be on workforce development, skills shortages, and housing availability, and we will be consulting broadly across our region as we work together to generate innovative solutions to these issues. I look forward to working with the new Board and the fresh perspective that they bring with them.”

RDAMNC would like to thank our departing Board members Dr Christene Capel, Wayne Lowe, Robyn Simon, and Stewart Dowrick, who have over several years given their time, local
knowledge, insights, and commitment to their roles and the region.
