New role for Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast’s CEO.
CEO of Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC), Kerry Grace has been appointed to the new position of Director of Regional Development for our region.
Kerry has worked for RDAMNC since August 2016 as the CEO of the organisation.
Key achievements of Kerry and her team during this time have included the production of the Mid North Coast Skills Audit and Industry Blueprints, Economic Analysis of universities in the Mid North Coast, the SMART Region Proposal and the sold out IGNITE MNC Symposium which was held in Bowraville in November 2017.
Kerry grew up in the Mid North Coast attending both Kempsey and Macksville High Schools.
After a decade in Sydney she returned home in 2003, to raise her family in the clean, green and affordable surrounds of the Mid North Coast. With 25 years experience in a business environment, Kerry has held numerous positions in advertising and marketing, procurement, consultancy, education and management.
“There is a lot of opportunity in the Mid North Coast” said Kerry “working across the four sectors of community, business, not for profits and government we will have the best capacity to leverage opportunities to create positive and sustainable change.”
RDAMNC is currently focusing efforts on employment pathways with particular emphasis on young people and regional investment. “A youth unemployment rate of 21% in the northern end of our region is unacceptable” said Kerry “our aim is to gain an understanding of how this has happened and to engage employers in efforts to improve this situation”.
Another initiative currently delivered by RDAMNC is the SMART Region Proposal that aims to raise the bar across the Mid North Coast by encouraging the investigation and adoption of innovative solutions by business, community and government.
RDAMNC is focused on improving investment in the region and provides support for businesses and local government in the development of funding applications, advocating for the region to both Federal and State Government and implementing events and activities to attract investors into the region.
