Episode 1: Kellon Beard, Business NSW

Kellon Beard is the Regional Manager for Business NSW. Kellon looks after the Mid North Coast Region, from Forster Tuncurry in the South to Woolgoolga in the North.

Kellon’s role is to work with businesses to ensure that they are aware of the services available to them, through Business NSW and Business Australia. Kellon has been in this role for over 15 years and has been assisting businesses all that time through various activities.

Kellon has a varied background having worked in both the Public and Private sectors in various roles. These roles have including Contracts and Purchasing roles, Human Resources Manager, Business Development Manager, and Corporate Services Manager. Kellon has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Sydney University and a Master of Commerce (International Management) from Charles Sturt University.

Diane Gray, Regional Manager Northern Inland and MNC, AusIndustry

The Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources – through its business service delivery arm AusIndustry – provides a range of services and advice to help businesses start, run, innovate and grow.

Diane Gray  strongly believes in providing a customer centric service as she continues to develop a keen understanding of the issues impacting Northern Inland and Mid North Coast, while providing information, advice and referrals on products, services and connections available for business. Previously, Diane has worked in executive roles and as a business consultant for over 15 years across multiple industries, regionally, nationally and internationally. She holds an MBA with a double major in Human Resource Management and Marketing Management, as well as qualifications in Project Management, Governance and Quality Assurance.

Diane also holds positions as a board director for NFP organisations and has been a small business owner since 2013.

Giles White, Business Facilitator Entrepreneurs’ Program

Giles is a profitable business grower with over 15 years experience devising and implementing digital strategies for many small and medium businesses – including some of his own. Digitally obsessed and with a growth mindset, Giles has helped clients pivot back into profit, win awards and attract investors. His mix of technical know-how and substantial real-life business experience give him a unique and customer-centric perspective on keeping companies agile and productive in changing markets, helping them scale faster and more sustainably to deliver outstanding commercial results. Having founded, grown and sold two companies of his own, he now enjoys helping others in his role as a Business Facilitator with the government’s Entrepreneurs’ Program – and particularly the Strengthening Business initiative.
