500,000 Piece Lego Car – Steve Sammartino
Ignite MNC Symposium 2019, keynote speaker Steve Sammartino has worked on many projects in his time, but none more intriguing than the lego car made up of 500,000 pieces that ran on air power.
Dubbed the Super Awesome Micro Project, the car was conceived by Sammartino and constructed in Romania by Raul Oaida.
The lego hot rod is reported to be capable of up to 30 kph, but they drive it slowly when testing it as they are scared of a ‘giant Lego explosion.’
The project was crowd funded and demonstrated the power of the internet.
A project very relevant to regional areas showing that distance is less of an obstacle than in the past.
