Who we are
Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC) is a voice and an advocate for the Mid North Coast region. We act as a link between all levels of government, industry and our community, analysing local priorities, communicating the issues clearly and bringing key players together to produce real outcomes for the region.
Our primary focus is on economic development that affects the wider region and delivers a positive outcome. This might be to encourage more jobs, public or private investment, industry growth or a greater capacity for our region to compete. RDA is a collaborative organisation; we always work in partnership with others to achieve these goals.
The Mid North Coast is a place of innovation, opportunity, inclusion and economic prosperity.
RDAMNC is an independent not for profit organisation. Our funding is derived from the Federal Government and we are also funded on a project basis by the State Government of NSW, other government agencies and we also deliver commercial activities.
Our team and committee are all local people, developing local solutions for the Mid North Coast region.
The staff of RDA Mid North Coast have a variety of specialist skills to implement our core services and manage key projects. The staff are led by our Director of Regional Development and are governed by a committee.
Our committee is comprised of members from a variety of industries and interests across the Mid North Coast.
Our team works all throughout the region of the Mid North Coast encompassing the local government areas of Port Macquarie – Hastings, Kempsey Shire, Nambucca Shire, Bellingen Shire, Coffs Harbour, Lord Howe Island, the community of Taree and Norfolk Island.
We are part of a national network of 53 RDA Committees that work to support the development of regional Australia. RDA Mid North Coast is administered by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development and is an Australian Government initiative.
